"daCin hengessä" "The spirit of daCi"

DaCi - sana tulee tulee sanoista Dance (D) and (A) the Child (C) International (I). DaCi on maailmanlaajuinen verkosto, johon kuuluvat opettajat, tanssintutkijat, oppilaat ja kaikki halukkaat, jotka haluavat edistää lasten tanssikasvatusta ja tanssin tutkimusta ja tanssia yleensä. Organisaatio on voittoa tavoittelematon ja todellakin, organisaation  tarkoitus on puhua ja toimia lasten ja tanssin puolesta.  Puhutaankin daCin "hengestä", jossa keskössä ovat oppiminen, ajatusten ja ideoiden vaihto, tasa-arvoisten mahdollisuuksien luominen kaikille ja kansainvälinen yhteistyö
Kuopion daCi Europe 2017 - tapahtumassa daCin henki toteutui.  Oppilaat kävivät eri tanssin lajien tunneilla eri opettajien ohjauksessa. Yllä oleva kuva on tapahtuman viimeisen päivän näytöksestä Kuopion torilla, joka oli myös Kuopio ja Tanssii ja Soin avajaistapahtuma. Kuopion kaupunki järjesti vastaantoton kaikille DaCi Europe 2017 osallistujille. Monille nuorille tanssijoille se oli varmasti merkittävä kokemus.

Opettajakurssilaiset tanssivat itse, seurasivat opetusta, esityksiä ja jakoivat ajatuksia opettajien omassa illanvietossa. Erityisen mielenkiintoista oli kuulla virolaisten osallistujien ajatuksia ja näkemyksiä, sekä nähdä heidän tanssikoulujensa esityksiä. Myös hollantilaiset kurssin opettajat, Maria Speth ja Nele Vandeneede jakoivat ajatuksiaan tanssin opettamisesta ja daCin kansaivälisestä toiminnasta, jossa he molemmat ovat aktiivisesti mukana.
Oppilaista oli "kivaa" kokeilla uusia tanssinlajeja, tutustua uusiin ihmisiin, esiintyä ja kokea koulumajoitus. Monet opettajat sanoivat, että saivat uuden näkökulman omaan työhönsä, uusia ideoita, ja ikäänkuin tunsivat uudistuvansa pitkän talven jälkeen. Itselleni tärkeintä oli huomata taas kerran, että kannattaa lähteä maailmalle - kokemaan ja oppimaan. Tällä kertaa löytyi se daCin henki!

DaCi the word comes from  Dance ( D) and (A) the Child (C) International (I). Dancers, dance educators, choreographers, dance researchers and all who are willing to speak for dance education for young people and dance research in general can be part of the daCi Community.  daCi Community  is formed  by all the member countries all around the globe. daCi Community is a non-profit organization, and its` goal is to promote dance for young people. The elements of the "daCi Spirit" are learning, sharing ideas, creating equal  possibilities for every one and working together.
In Kuopio the principal ideas of daCi Community were carried out. The students took part in different dance lessons by different dance teachers. The picture above is from the last day´s daCi dance performance at the Kuopio market square. The dance concert happened also to be the opening event of the Kuopio Tanssii ja Soi -  Internationa Dance Festival. All the daCi Europe 2017 participants were also invited to the Kuopio City Hall for a reception hosted by the town of Kuopio. 

The teachers danced themselves, followed dance lessons by other teachers and had their own discussion event for sharing ideas and getting to  know each other. It was ecpecially interesting to hear views about dance from our Estonian teachers and see performances by Estonian dance students.   The quest teachers Maria Speth and Nele Vandeneede from the Netherlands also  had significant ideas about the dance education. Maria and Nele are both active at the daCi Community, so they could tell more about how daCi works internationally.

The students found it "cool" to try out new dance genres, to get to know new people, perform and "experience the school accomodation". Many of the teachers said, that they found a new way of looking at their own work and felt "refreshened" after long winter. For myself the most important thing was to be reminded once again, that "It is worthwhile to go out to the world" to experience and learn. This time the "daCi sprit" was found. I warmly recommend !

DaCi Finland ry. järjestää jo toisen kerran Dance and Child - kesäkurssin pienille tanssijoille ja opettajille.  Kohtaamispaikkana on Kuopio, tanssin "kesäpääkaupunki"http://www.dacifinland.fi/Ajankohtaista.

DaCi Finland ry.n hallituksen jäsenenä olen järjestämässä kurssia, tulkkaamassa opetusta nuorimmille osallistujille ja tietysti oppimassa itsekin. DaCi Finland ry. on aktiivinen toimija Suomen tanssin kentällä, ja DaCin tarjoama koulutus on oleellinen osa suomalaista tanssielämää. Lisää siitä, mitä täällä tapahtuu pian...

It is the second time that Daci Finland Orginization offers a summer intensive course for young dancers and teachers of childrens`dance education.  The meeting town is Kuopio, unofficial "summer dance capital". More about Dance and Child Europe 2017, see the link above.
The quest teachers are from Finland and abroad.  Maria Speth, well known of her long carrier as a developer of childrens´dance and creative dance, teaches the course for dance educators. More about Maria, see the second link. 

As a board member of the DaCi Finland Organization I´m here organizing the course, helping younger dancers to communicate in English, and learning myself as well. DaCi Finland Organization has an active role in the Finnish dance field, and the educational courses are integral part of a Finnish dance education.  What will actually takes place, more soon....
