| Mira Caselius : I wish I was |
Tämä ihastuttava taideteos tuli minua vastaan Turun Ullakkogalleriassa joulukuussa. Lapsille suunnatun, mutta myös aikuista innostavan näyttelyn nimi on Mystinen matka, ja se on auki vielä 5.1 2014 asti. Minua sykähdytti erityisesti yllä oleva taideteos, jossa tyllihameet keinuvat valaistuna hameiden sisältä. Minun oli pakko kysyä paikalla olevilta taiteilijoilta, on tekijällä on jokin yhteys balettiin, niin tunnistettava tämä taideteos on. Ja yksi taiteilijoista sattui olemaan Mira Caseliuksen äiti, joka kertoi tyttärensä tanssineen lapsena.
Tämä valoteos on kulkenut mielessäni siitä lähtien, ja olen iloinen, että löysin tämän kuvan taiteilijan verkkosivuilta. Kiitos!

I came across this enchanting light piece ( as the artist herself describes it) at the Attic gallery in Turku in December. The exhibiton for children is called Mystical Journey, and it is open until the 5th of January 2014. I really fell for this piece of art, the tutus are swinging and are lit inside.
I just had to ask if the artist has any connection with ballet, because the connection felt so obvious from the speactator´s point of view. And so it happened, that one of the artists at the exhibition is also a mother of Mira Caselius, and the mother told me that her daughter did dance as a child.
This work of art has been in my mind ever since, and I was really glad that I found a picture of it at the artist´s net pages. Thank you!
