Viime keväänä olin Oslossa tutustumassa ja näkemässä, miten lastentanssia ja aikuinen-lapsitanssia opetetaan Norjassa. Oslossa on paljon tanssitarjontaa myös aivan pienille lapsille. Barn- Voksnetunteja tarjotaan lähes kaikissa tanssikouluissa.
Pääsin tutustumaan Oslon Musiikki-ja Kulttuurikoulun Karolinen 1-2-vuotiaiden tunnille. Tunti oli 50 min pitkä, mutta sisälsi rauhallisen aloituksen, jossa kaikki kuulumiset ehdittiin vaihtaa. Ryhmässä oli vain 8 aikuinen-lapsiparia, ja tämä oli myös ehdoton tunnin maksimimäärä. Lapsen mukana olevan aikuisen toivottiin myös olevan joka kerta sama aikuinen, jotta lapset tottuisivat nopeasti myös toisiin aikuisiin.
Kun tunti pääsi vauhtiin, niin suuria eroja meidän suomalaiseen opetukseen ei ollut, paitsi huomasin kuinka paljon sylittelyä ja halauksia tunti sisälsi. Kaikki tekeminen oli riemukasta ja suorittamisen tuntua ei ollut, ei lapsilla eikä aikuisilla. Tunnilla oli monia pieniä tansseja ja ideoita, joista nautimme tänä vuonna omilla tunneillani. Ja ensimmäiseksihän lisäsimme tunnin loppuun kumarruksen ja apolodien jälkeen vielä halauksen, ja se on ihan tämän opintomatkan ansiota.
Last May I was able to make a short trip to Oslo, to see and to learn how dance is taught for the young children in Norway. There are a lot of possibilities to dance for very young children in the Oslo area. Barn-Voksne - lessons are offered in many dance schools.
I got to visit the Oslo Musik and Kultur school. I had a chance to see Karoline´s dance lesson for 1-2 years old children and their parents. The lesson was 50 minutes long, but in the beginning there was a moment when everybody had a chance to say hello to each other and get settled in the class. There were only 8 adult-child couples in the class and that number was also the maximum number for participants in the class. The adult following the child to the toddlers class ís hoped to be the same adult every time, so that the children would learn to know other adults quickly.
The actual content of the class was rather similar to the way we dance is taught in Finland, except there was so much more hugging and being close to each other, that it is a significant difference to our Finnish way of being with each other. Everything the children and adults did seemed to be full of joy and free of any kind of pressure. There were many little dances and ideas we can enjoy during this winter in my classes. The first thing we added to our class was of course a hug- we bow, we aplode to ourselves and then we hug each other, thanks to this trip to Oslo.
